AV/VC Engineer (Full-Time)
Permanent, full-time role with MAV Reality.
You will report to Billy Berry, our Head of Engineering - say hello on LinkedIn.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated VC/AV engineer to join the MAV team full-time, based from either our Halifax or London office. This is a hands-on, field-based role: most days you will be out on client sites installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining video conferencing and audio visual systems - modern Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and collaboration spaces, on the hardware we deploy every week from Neat, HP Poly, Logitech, Yealink and Cisco. The spaces range from huddle rooms through small, medium and large meeting rooms to town halls, plus stadiums and retail environments - working closely with our project teams, vendors and clients to deliver rooms people actually enjoy using.
What you will do
- Install and commission video conferencing and AV systems on client sites across the UK - displays, video bars, cameras, audio and control
- Work across the full range of spaces we deliver: huddle, small, medium and large meeting rooms, town halls, stadiums and retail environments
- Configure and enrol meeting-room hardware (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms) and support commissioning through to sign-off
- Support and maintain existing client estates: diagnose and resolve faults on site and remotely, seeing issues through to fix
- Work from schematics and design drawings, and keep as-built documentation and handover packs accurate
- Hand finished rooms over to clients, including walkthroughs and basic user training
What you will need
- Hands-on AV installation or support experience, ideally including Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms hardware
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault-finding
- Able to read schematics and design drawings, with a tidy, well-finished standard of installation work
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel - the role is field-based at client sites across the UK and Europe
- A passion for delivering outstanding user experiences on every visit
- Desirable, not essential: AVIXA CTS, vendor certifications (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp), ECS/CSCS and networking basics (IP, VLANs, PoE)
What we offer
- Competitive salary
- Company pension scheme
- Training and professional development opportunities
- Opportunities to work with leading collaboration technologies
- Supportive team environment
- Career progression within a growing organisation
