Join Zoom, Google Meet & Webex from Your Teams Rooms

Your meeting rooms run Microsoft Teams Rooms - but your clients send Zoom invites, your partners live in Google Meet, and the court, council or supplier on the other end is on a SIP video system. Typing a long meeting ID into a touch panel, or dragging a laptop into the room, defeats the point of the room. MAV Connect fixes this: invite the room to the meeting, and a Join button appears on the controller your people already use. One tap, and the room's cameras, microphones and screens are in the call.

MAV Connect is our interoperability service built on Pexip Connect for Teams Rooms, Microsoft-certified interoperability technology from our partner Pexip. We design, deploy and support it across your estate from our Halifax and London offices, UK-wide. Nothing changes for the people in the room: the interface stays a normal Teams Room.

    MAV Connect

    One touch. Every major platform.

No codes to type, no laptop to carry in, no user training. The room joins the way it always does.

    1

    Invite the room

Forward the Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or SIP meeting invite to the room's calendar, or add the room when you book - exactly as you would for a Teams meeting.

    2

    The Join button appears

The meeting shows on the room controller alongside your Teams meetings. No codes to type, no laptop to plug in.

    3

    One tap to join

The room joins with its own cameras, microphones and screens. Dual displays and in-room HDMI content sharing work in the third-party meeting.

The honest comparison: free and native vs MAV Connect

Microsoft Teams Rooms includes a free, built-in way to join some third-party meetings, called Direct Guest Join. For basic needs it may be all you require - and we will tell you so on a scoping call. The honest comparison:

    Your Existing Rooms

    No new hardware required

Most of the meeting room hardware we install runs Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android - and that is exactly where the native gap is biggest: Android-based rooms have no built-in way to join a Google Meet call at all. MAV Connect runs on certified Teams Rooms devices from manufacturers including HP Poly and Logitech, on both Android and Windows rooms, so one solution covers a mixed estate. If you tell us what is in your rooms, we will confirm device support before anything is quoted.

We install and support these rooms every week - see our meeting room AV installation service and the platforms we deploy: Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet Rooms.

    Who this is for

    Client-facing firms

Legal, financial and professional services teams whose clients send Zoom and Meet invites daily - joined from the boardroom, not a laptop.

    Mixed-platform groups

Organisations standardised on Teams whose parent company, subsidiaries or key partners run Google Workspace or Webex.

    Public sector and legacy VC

Teams estates that need to reach courts, NHS trusts and agencies still running SIP-based video systems.

    Security

    Built on certified technology

    Microsoft-certified technology

MAV Connect is built on Pexip Connect, which is built on Microsoft-certified interoperability technology and carries Microsoft's Certified Software designation.

A gateway, not an open door

Third-party platforms connect to the interoperability gateway, not to your room systems or your network. Your rooms stay inside your Microsoft environment.

    Calendar-authenticated joins

Rooms join meetings from their own authenticated calendar invites - there is no anonymous dial-in path into your rooms.

    Certified security management

Pexip operates ISO 27001-certified information security policies.

    Teams Rooms interoperability questions, answered

Yes. Teams Rooms can join Zoom meetings natively through Direct Guest Join at up to 720p with no in-room content sharing. With MAV Connect the same room joins at up to 1080p with HDMI content sharing and dual screen support, from the same Join button.
Not natively. Microsoft's own documentation lists Google Meet under Direct Guest Join as Windows only, so Android-based rooms - most video bar systems - have no built-in route into a Meet call. MAV Connect adds one-touch Google Meet join to Android-based Teams Rooms.
The room only shows a Join button when it can recognise the meeting in its calendar invite. Forwarded invites with stripped links, security rewrites of URLs, and unsupported platforms are the usual causes. MAV Connect processes the room calendar and presents a Join button for supported third-party meetings, which removes the most common failure.
Direct Guest Join is the free, built-in browser-based join on the room itself - basic quality, limited features. Cloud video interop routes the call through a dedicated gateway, which is how MAV Connect delivers 1080p, HDMI content sharing, dual screens and SIP calling. Basic needs may be fine on the free option; we will tell you which fits on a scoping call.
No. MAV Connect runs on certified Microsoft Teams Rooms devices you already own, on Android and Windows. We confirm device support for your exact estate before anything is quoted.
MAV Connect is built on Pexip technology that carries Microsoft's Certified Software designation, operated under ISO 27001-certified information security policies. Third-party platforms connect to the gateway rather than into your network, and rooms only join meetings from their own authenticated calendar invites.
