AV & Video Conferencing for Energy, Oil & Gas

Keep headquarters, remote operations and international sites connected — with resilient platforms and clean migrations off end-of-life hardware.

Energy operations are global and distributed: head offices, regional hubs and remote international sites all need to collaborate reliably. MAV Reality migrates aging endpoint estates onto modern, cloud-connected platforms and keeps every location — from a UK HQ to an operation in Ghana — talking to each other without interruption.

    The Challenges

What this sector needs from AV

    Global & remote site connectivity

HQ, regional and remote international sites must stay connected reliably, often over constrained links and across time zones.

    End-of-life endpoint migration

Vendor EOL policies force estate-wide migrations — which must happen without breaking connectivity to sites still on legacy kit.

    Interoperability across estates

Legacy and modern endpoints need to interoperate during transition, so no site is cut off mid-migration.

    Continuity through change

Operations can't pause for a technology refresh — migrations have to be phased to maintain service throughout.

    How We Deliver

    Our approach

We phase migrations to protect connectivity at every step: move legacy endpoints to a cloud-backed platform, replace hardware with current-generation devices, then transition remaining international sites — keeping legacy and modern estates interoperable until the cutover is complete.

    Case Study

    Tullow Oil

With Polycom end-of-life policies forcing a platform change, Tullow Oil needed to migrate all physical UK endpoints while keeping seamless connectivity with Ghana and other remote sites — where legacy Polycom, Polyspan and Vision devices remained in active use. MAV delivered the migration in three phases: moving legacy UK endpoints to Poly cloud powered by Pexip, replacing UK systems with Poly X-series and G-series units, then transitioning non-UK endpoints onto the new solution.

    • All UK endpoints migrated off end-of-life hardware
    • Seamless connectivity maintained with Ghana and remote sites
    • Legacy and modern endpoints kept interoperable through transition
    • Phased delivery with no loss of service
